AvPlanning for Owners The Avplanning Process The Costs

Correct maintenance planning will keep you legal, informed and usually reduce your overall maintenance costs.

It is not a simple thing any more to ensure that your aircraft is being maintained to the correct level required by CASA and the CAR’s. As the owner or operator of the aircraft, you are legally responsible under CAR 41 (CAR 39 for Class A aircraft) to ensure that all maintenance required from time to time is carried out. CASA are placing increasing importance on compliance with Airworthiness Directives and now require justification as to why you haven’t complied with an AD.

Maintenance Workshops are more concerned with carrying out the work correctly and generally do not devote much time to this extremely important task. Maintenance workshops are having increasing difficulty ensuring they are calling up the correct work package because of the increasing complexity and changes in this area. As a result, you may not be on the best maintenance system for your aircraft and you may not be getting the best results for your money.

Airlines have been using maintenance planning for years but this service was never available to smaller operators or individual owners. Well now it is! AvPlanning will audit your log books to find all recurring AD’s (this reveals all the forgotten ones), enter the data into our maintenance control software and send the due list or actual worksheets to your maintenance organisation. Once the job is finished, we update the program ready for your next inspection.
